Camp Update - Summer Blessings (2019)

Dear Friends,

We have been blessed in so many uncountable ways throughout the busy summer season with staff, volunteers and financial supporters that have enabled us to serve and bless our guests.

Our hosting efforts to date have included a variety of individuals and groups – junior age campers, teen campers, college Christian students/leaders, church camps and family camps.

It's Been Amazing to Watch God Provide

Summer camps are the most labor-intensive part of the year and can be overwhelming (especially in a year of transition). However we have been amazed at how God has provided His Thousand Hills with an Interim Management Team, a faithful Board of Directors, a committed staff and host family, and many volunteers who have met the challenges of preparing and operating the facilities at HTH in a way that has impacted our guests.

We have been greatly encouraged by all the positive comments and evident spiritual effect His Thousand Hills has had on our guests and all who have served.

Many groups have already begun making plans to return in 2020 which is both a praise to God and an indication that we are fulfilling the 2019 Mission and Vision of HTH.

Upgrades and Changes to Camp Facilities

Many positive changes and upgrades have also taken place with regards to the physical facilities here at HTH thus far in 2019.

Some of these improvements include roofs, rain gutters, Wi-Fi and cell service set-up, paint & stain, porch ceiling, deck replacement, carpeting, bathroom remodel, tree and brush removal and tree trimming, tables, audio-visual upgrades, chairs/tables as well as general clean-up (five dumpsters full) and removal of mowing obstacles, etc.

These improvements would not have been possible without the dedicated work and the financial support of God’s faithful servants like you!

We Have All Grown - Together

It has been a continuing blessing for our staff and volunteers to see (and participate in) the spiritual growth opportunities presented at HTH such as: worship / praise sessions, biblical workshops, daily devotions, break-out sessions, group and individual prayer time, personal alone time, Christian films, Christian speakers, scripture reading, baptism, and personal testimonies.

Thanks and Praise

We thank each of our team members, volunteers, prayer partners and financial supporters for their part of this successful season of service and ministry.

And most of all we praise God who has created, sustained and grown the reach of this special place called His Thousand Hills for HIS Glory.

Opportunities to Bless, Be Blessed, Serve and Give

However, there is still much, much more to do (and many - still unrealized opportunities - to impact our world) through His Thousand Hills as we move forward into this NEW and EXCITING Chapter at the camp.

We welcome you to partner with us as we continue to trust HIM to guide this "ship" forward into HIS Vision for 2020 and beyond. These are exciting times!

Here Are 3 Ways You Can Get Involved:

  1. PRAY - We ask for your prayers. It's truly a miracle of grace that God has sustained His Thousand Hills for so many years and for a time such as this. We do NOT take this for granted. So please join us in prayer. Contact us, subscribe to our email list or visit us to discover how you can pray for the ministry of His Thousand Hills.

  2. SERVE - If you have a desire to serve, we have a place for you. Contact us today to discover how you can use your gifts, talents and skills to bring glory to God at His Thousand Hills.

  3. GIVE - Although His Thousand Hills often charges a nominal fee for use of the camp, we are only able to keep the doors open because of the generous financial support of those who believe in what God has done - and is doing - through His Thousand Hills. Contact us today, join our email list and checkout the Give/Serve page to discover how you can invest financially in the eternal work that the Lord is doing though His Thousand Hills.

Thank you for your encouragement, partnership and support!

We look forward to seeing you soon,

In Christ Alone,

Interim HTH Management Team – Brian Canfield – Eric Husted – Steven Weeks – David Polczynski
